Academic Success: The fruit is worth the labour!

How many of us look back at our high school career with a little regret? If we could only go back in time and give our younger self a little “pep talk” it might go something like this: “Listen, if you only know what I know now, then you will work just a little bit harder at getting those good grades”.

As we get older and wiser we start to see and appreciate the value of education. As they say, “hind sight is 20/20”, but we can’t go back to high school and change the past. The only thing we can do is move forward and ensure that our children receive all the support, encouragement and guidance they need in order to reach their academic potential.

At False Bay High school, we believe in promoting good ethics, academic discipline and hard work. Many have said that “SUCCESS” is spelt like “HARD WORK”. This is absolutely true when it comes to our academic career. Information, skills and knowledge does not magically enter our brain. Learning requires effort. We acquire knowledge through being intentional and disciplined in our education, engaging our teachers and study material. Academics take effort, and the reward lies in the results. The fruit is absolutely worth the labour.

If you believe your child is not receiving the right amount of encouragement in an academically disciplined and stimulated schooling environment, then False Bay High is probably an option you would like to consider.
